Total Transportation in Scarbourgh

Wow... We did little bits with them over the years... Always picked up and delivered as directed and never an issue.

Gunna be some real pretty iron at the used truck lot boys and girls.

thats too bad, Total was a good carrier. Nice looking equipment and never had an issue with their service.

Total Transportation is not going away

We are not in bankruptcy or receivership. We are in a restructuring – getting a little leaner and meaner but we continue everyday our mission of providing the best customer service, period.

We have the full support of our bank and almost all of our suppliers. If any one has questions the owner of the company, Scott Pustai is personally spoken to all creditors and will take to time to speak to any one who wants to know more.

We are restructuring in the most honourable way possible.

Right you're screwing every possible carrier and creditor you can except for the banks I noticed that on the paper how very honorable of you. I havent got a call since the amount wasnt worth calling I guess.

They're definitely still operating. I saw one of their trucks in Windsor Friday pointed towards the GTA.

Total is commited

Hey I would like to thank Total for the great job they did with my load. Very polite, follow up was easy and a pleasure to deal with. I'll definately use them again.

For those of you who are bad mouthing..... get the story straight before getting in too deep with the trashing. I did after I saw this thread and got the *skinny*. Seems to me that they are being honest about restructuring and trying to service their clients properly.

Bravo Total !!!!

I'm sure they do great work, but try and get paid for work that you have done for them and see what happens?

Good business should go both ways. As far as restructuring goes.... if it doesn't include paying your bills, then I don't want any part of it.

Many carriers are getting the short end of the stick because of this, so called, "restructuring".

As far as I can see, the facts in this thread are completely accurate, including yours.

With much trepidation I took a load from Total after I had already read this post. It was an LTL shipment from their dock to Montreal.

I spoke to the owner, who assured me everything was on the up and up and that I would get paid. He even faxed me all of the paperwork from Ira Smith, as well as a personal written guarantee that we would be paid for this and any future loads we did for Total Transportation.

Being the skeptical non-believer that I am, I considered my odds to be paid 50/50 at worst. It was a one time risk that I was willing to take this time.

I invoiced on Sept 3/10 and received payment in full on Oct. 12/10!

I commend them for giving me their word and coming through as promised. Even in non restructuring companies thats hard to find.

Good to hear.

Thanks MyTrucks for taking the time to post something positive rather than just the negatives of a company. Glad it all worked out for you.

Payment

Just to add my two cents worth, we invoiced Total on Aug 27th and received payment on Sept 28th. Looks like they are trying to keep on top of things.

It's good to see that they are starting back on the right foot, as far as new business goes but, I'm sure that the same does not apply to their older debts.
