Not sure why he tries to open new companies anymore in transportation, there is enough of us watching our for him by now to protect each other.

Maggs - Karma will get him one day, or he will atone eternally. Either way, I don't envy him (one bit).

Tony will never give up because he knows he has this industry in his back pocket, and he will continue to get away with his unconscionable business operating scams forever......unless someone has the opportunity to actually confront him face to face with concrete facts/evidence and a person of law who actually cares....sad but true.

I guess the part I can't understand is...who are his customers? And why are they seemingly loyal to him?

I have personally known this guy since he was doing home deliveries for interhome furniture on Woodbine Ave, his company was GFS at that time. I couldn't count the number of name changes, carriers exploited, bridges burned..etc..etc...

How is he retaining any customer base? That's the most puzzling.

OLDTIMER, Tony is getting his customer base from the link. He calls on freight posted, sends documents that he has altertered, claims he has trucks and therefore all looks good to go. Then we all know what happens next - he brokers out the load to another carrier with a exceptional looking rate - the 3PL or carrier that booked the load with Tony Scum gets paid and unfortunately doesnt pay the actual carrier that serviced the load(s). On his invoice he states to pay/send checks to another address/factoring company....again looks pretty legit to one. Therefore, if you ever see this statement on an invoice check with them too to find out their involvement.

Thanks Magg's..I get what he has been doing with the link/factoring companies.

But can he get back on the link again? Probabaly not..
So who is he in cahoots with?
Who's account is he piggy backing on?
I'm thinking he must have at least 1 or 2 direct customers that are blindly loyal, or he would be broke by now.

They are not a company on Link - report them NOW so they are not taken as a new customer. And Link should also be aware they are using someone else's account to piggyback on load information.

Let Link figure out who's account they are using - that is their job. And they will find out this information - guaranteed. They've done it in the past and shut down the paying customer's account for unethically sharing an account with a delinquent.

Get the complaint in and documented!
 
Apparently he buys small companies that are done but have a decent safety rating, starts as a silent partner, then takes over. More than likely the companies he buys are already Link customers so it takes a while to catch up. Just because he calls it Toronto Transport Services it doesn't mean it's the real name of the company. He's played that before.

As I've mentioned before, I believe he's had trucks -- owner ops working for him. He has no problem stiffing them either.

My guess is that he's supporting a drug or gambling problem.
