TFI International Agrees to Acquire Daseke

4500 power units and 11k trailers and 1.1B That is a big pill to swallow.
The bigger they get, the further the fall is, and the cheaper their assets are at auction :)

been numerous carriers that size that have gone under since the 90s... Most recently Yellow comes to mind... Celadon Group.... Falcon Transport, New Century, Jevic Transport, Arrow Trucking, New England Motor Freight, NationsWay Transport, Preston, Transcon Lines, Consolidated Freightways just to name a few carrier with 1000+ drivers who have bit the dust since mid 90s

lots of large players in that list... .

And none of them were run the way TFI is; they will never go under.

They will never go bankrupt.
I have a theory that they only buy companies for the customers and they dont really care about the terminals or the equipment. They just want to integrate cash cow customers into their network of terminals to run the contract freight for high profit margins through leveraging their vast network .

Condolences to everyone at Daseke.

How is it that the competition Bureau squashed TFI’s plans to buy Apps Cartage but allowed them to acquire Kindersley? (Siemens Group).
