Was just asked by James for rate to move a 20' loaded container. After several minutes of trying to determine what service he required and the fact that I am NOT a container hauler I asked to call back James with a rate. Upon calling James back with my rate he began to insult my company on our "high rate". A simple "thank you but your rate is too high" would have been good for me.
This business is hard enough without being insulted for giving a rate. I rate at what I need to make a profit and will not move freight for the sake of moving freight. That's my rant for this week.

These are the guy's in this industry that are Bottom-Feeder Customers generally seeking out
Bottom-Feeder Carriers. The one's that work in there basements in there underwear. That won't
be able to secure any surety bond. And just driver the rates down.

You're probably better off and farther ahead not getting the move anyway.
If a broker doesn't know who to call to move a can... and they blindly go through their rolodex looking for numbers rest assured there would be all sorts of missing details causing you more grief than the shipment is worth.
Just my opinion.
