FYI, they were scheduled to pick some ltl from IL to my customer in ON. They arrived at the shipper and inverted the pickup number (it happens) for another partial coming to ON. This is where it gets bizarre, my delivery was for 4 skids to Hamilton, what they loaded was 3 skids to Aurora ON... BOL clearly stated this, on top of that they cleared the border with a different customs broker and brought it in to ON all without saying a word. I get a call the day my stuff is supposed to deliver from Alex in the IL office asking about the address on the BOL, kind of late to be asking now but at least he called right? After all of this I realize the freight doesn't belong to me at all (I don't work for the shipper and have no clue who the receiver is), so I call the receiver the freight belongs to in Aurora ON (great company really lucked out that they were so understanding and worked with me) and try to arrange to set them up for payment etc. This ends up taking me a day and half to sort out, lot's of explaining to both the shipper my original customer and the receiver. On Thursday I get a call from TBN saying that if I don't do something about the delivery they are going to charge me for storage etc, lot's of idol threats (go ahead and try and bill me for stuff that doesn't belong to me??). Even though in my mind I am telling them to pound salt, I work hard to get everything set up, and have the delivery set for Monday Morning, TBN agrees, I tell them they are doing it for the original rate and that is the best I can do. But of course that's not the end of it, they don't deliver Monday, find out midday that the freight wasn't even put on the truck for delivery and is still in their yard. So Mario in the ON office promises to deliver First thing Tuesday, get a call Monday late afternoon it will be 10 am Tuesday approximately, that turns into 12 noon Tuesday. My advise if you want to save yourself some time, and perhaps actually get your product picked up call someone else...
