We called their customers after waiting 100 days for payment on 4 invoices. Got a response from the controller at Synergy and a cheque within an hour. Only problem was the cheques were post dated for another month. Their freight is cheap, and they don't pay unless you threaten their customers. They won't be around much longer, beware.

Synergy Transportation from Oakville and Toronto (Newbridge Road Etobicoke) Darren Parent is the controller. You cant get hold of him, and he never answers his e-mail. When you call his customers up, you can pick up a check post dated for a month for a 100 day old invoice. I would recommed to stay away as far as possibile.

I just cannot believe they are still in business, had to do the same. To clear some up sold them some freight just so I received some calls back, and yes you guessed it 31st day after shipment they were calling for payment. Got our money and then on DNU, wish more like these would just go away!

The freight I gave back had an interesting twist.

I had originally quoted on 6 feet of trailer and gave a rate, received a fax for 14 feet at my rate for 6. I don't generally make that type of error, that is what led me to lookup synergy on this site.

I sited payment issues and the dispatcher tried to convince me that that was long ago!!

The freight was then re posted as 6 feet. Nice little trick !!!

Just another facet to this wonderful bunch. We did some work with them last year (they moved our freight) and they approached every customer after the fact. Made the water extremely muddy. They continue to call me on posted loads, even though I explain to the (always diffrent) person that we won't use them.

Got burned as well. I would never touch their freight again. It seems like the whole family is in the business. They like to post towards the end of the day when most people are in a rush to cover their equipment.

You are right. He promissed me a chq in March when I was lucky to get him on the phone. Still waiting for this payment. Since march I wasn't able to get him.
Have no idea how I could make them pay.

We have a similar problem with Synergy. After 100 days of lies and avoidance, I advised them I was coming in to get the chq. I was told that I couldn't come in for a week. When I showed up, the office staff was gumming it about desperate carriers that need to come pick up a chq rather than wait for it. I asked how much longer I was to wait. I opened the envelope and the cheq was post dated for another 10days...who is desperate for money? I think they are feathering the nest and wouldn't be surprised to see them under a different name.

Call the shipper or consignee, we had a cheque in 24 hours. It works.
