spread axles

Hi all,

Not sure if this is the right spot to ask that question, but I figured I might as well ask here.

Looking this information for a friend of mine that wants to buy trailers, mainly flatbed. I usually can answer all of his questions, but this one I am not sure at all.

So the question is, Is there any regulations regarding the spread of axles (he is looking for a Canadian Spread 8' spacing) across north america? If so, what is it and where is it?

Do you have better solution than this spreading type?

The maximun spread that will allow you maximum weight across Canada is 6'/72". YES, a 10' spread is allowed in the Western Provinces but your allowable axle weights will be greatly restricted.
