Anybody with feedback regarding this carriers service. Phone # is 416-245-6779

They show in my system 3 times. They did 2 I/B NC to Toronto loads and 1 I/B TN to Toronto load. Each without issue. Haven't used then in over 6 months though.

They called me a few times on a regular load I have, each time I told them it was covered because I had a bad feeling about them immediately...but I needed to cover the load last minute. I asked for references, got them, called them all...and they all checked out, although I had never heard of most of them before. Finally gave him the load....they sent me an email at 6pm that night cancelling. Maybe their load really did get cancelled, my money is on, they got $50 more somewhere else and bailed. Go with your instinct, I will never go with them again. Plus, check their paperwork and cross reference it with their mailing adress, MC paperwork adress and dispatch phone #....all different. They are just another Brampton BS carrier. Do your own due diligence, but I won't wasted my time on them again.

Boss, I have not read a single issue in your post that would warrant placing this carrier on your DNU list. Perhaps they deserve it, I don't know them, However, from your post there is no compelling reason to place them on your DNU list and bad mouth them. I think you should exert a small amount of effort in validating their reason for cancelling. If you are a freight broker then I would assume without carriers you have nothing to sell. Would it not be in your best interest to develop as many soild carrier relationships as possible? Loads get cancelled by BOTH parties all the time. It sucks but it does happen. Disqualifying this carrier for cancelling on you and for the fact they are based in Brampton just seems ridiculous. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Truckit. If you can't see any valid reason for putting them on my DNU, then perhaps you did not read the entire post. Their paperwork is all over the place, they cancelled without any reason or apology and their references are from companies I have never heard of in 15 years in the industry. I am sorry you can't accept these as being enough reasons to not use again. And yes, we are a broker, and we have trucks, so we are on both sides of loads being cancelled and cancelled on, we know it's part of the business. But commom courtesy and a sense of responsibility and pride also are a part of the industry, or at least should be. In my opinion, this carrier does not carry these traits. Feel free to use them all you would like, it makes no difference to me.

Wow! Relax boss it's only Monday. I read your entire post and nowhere did you state they cancelled without reason or apology, nowhere did you state they were not courteous or that they lacked a sense of pride. I should also advise you that just because the address does not match MC records does not mean they're not legit. I bring this up because you are posting comments on a public blog so It would be prudent to ensure facts rather than basing decisions and comments on gut feelings and emotions. Also, as you are still fairly new in the industry I can understand why you may never have heard of their references. Please try and have a good day.

Ouch! That comment Truckit, about Boss being new in the industry after 15 years! Who said this isn't an "old boys club" anyways. Listen fellas, like the old adage about garage sales - "one man's junk is another man's treasure", certainly applies to this post and to this industry. However, your comment about restraint when posting negative reviews of another business is well taken. The value of this website rests in its ability to report facts and past experiences even though I know how difficult that can be when you've been the victim of a shoddy business operator. "The facts ma'am, just the facts"

Truckit, I think you are just trying to get a rise out of a me for some reason. 'New to the Industry' after 15 years...I assume you have been around a lot longer than that...maybe that's why you're so cranky, I can understand that.
Anyhow, this thread has certainly lost its relevance or benefit for any other readers. I do like your comment Loaders, one man's junk is certainly another man's treasure, and they can keep their junk and book all their loads with them. I would love to spend more time praising more carriers, but when I see someone looking for an objective review of one that has done me wrong, I will be honest about the experience. Pull the curtains on this thread! :)

Just to give and update.. never used them on the original load but gave them a load a couple days ago. Picked up and delivered on time and paperwork had there PARS on it. Would give them another shot for sure.

Back Solicit

Have been using them for a few months, over the last month they have been giving us bad service and always going to our customers behind our back and making arrangements with them for redelivery. They have avoided calling us to advise of issues until our customer calls us.

Last week I found out they were now calling our customers and back soliciting for freight and slandering us since we had them on a do not use for poor service.

Somal Transport just received their authorities back on April 22, 2022 for USDOT 2638304. Be careful when dealing with Somal. I don't know if this is an old company brought back to life or another version of Somal.
