I have a freight broker (customer) that sent us a confirmation, the shipment was rejected at the receiver they agreed to pay us to bring it back to the shipper. Called us and said we are not paying you, because you didn't brace the load.

Anyone have an agent that can help me get my money from the shipper/freight broker.

Has anyone filed an intent to claim for freight damage? Was the shipment originally rejected because of damage and did the receiver note that on the B/L before you returned it? I guess my question Paul is......is there a legitimate freight claim here, or just an outright refusal to pay for services rendered?

I was on site of loading, told them its not safe to double stack the skids, they said don't worry we do it all the time. few skids fell over but the product itself was not damaged (food related product) we took it to a cross dock to get it skidded and await instructions. We get a call asking what the rate would be to bring it back to Canada as the receiver does not want it anymore. We agreed on the rate got a new confirmation for the charges and delivered the freight. Sent them an invoice they said they refuse to pay because there shipper refused to pay them. No claims files and even if a claim would be files it does not related to the transport service we have insurance for claims.

So they are just refusing to pay. No freight claim and a clear Bill of Lading without any notations about damage. Sue them in small claims court. Send a PM to Scamchaser.
