Hello
This is just a general question...with all due respect intended. Is it customary for an agent hired to collect a debt to publicize for whom he or she is collecting the debt? I am not sure that as a customer, I would be aware of my bad debt being publicized by the agent whom I have hired to collect this debt. Again, all due respect intended...just wondering what the parameters of confidentiality would be.

I'm thinking I want it confidential. It's nobody's business who is trying to stiff me, and frankly, it wouldn't paint me in a good light advertising it either.

I believe the question posed by chica123, was should the agent trying to collect the money be make the making the name of who he is working for public? I am sure we all have no problem with hearing who the non-payer is. We all can use a "heads-up" about the deadbeats. I agree with theman, I don`t want others to know about my mistakes in granting credit to unworthy customers.
