Salto Freight Management

If you see a load from Salto out of PA, don't bother taking it and don't bother dealing with these cats.

Firstly, you can't get a live person there (wayyy too casual at that company) - goes straight to voicemail no matter who you pick. The credit app shows 902-252-3399 as a phone number but this is for a motorcycle shop.

Secondly, the freight they have out of Chambersburg PA to Peterborough is 2 landscape trailers and they were trying to load a dry van (12 feet) and couldn't understand why no one wanted it for $300. The trouble is that it's flatbed freight and obviously no flatbed carriers are taking it for $300.

Anyone else got some comments on Salto?

Confirms my suspicion. This Jerritt dude smacks of "doesn't give a crap" in his business approach and, quite frankly, it almost seems like no one is really there at that company when you call. Goes straight to voicemail. Can you imagine being a client of theirs and not being able to get a live body? I feel sorry for Percy because I dealt with him when he was at Brookville and Clarke Road and he's a really decent guy. Thanks for the feedback.

No one was there, just me, and likely at the time I was getting fed up with people calling me looking for money, passing the message on to someone who couldnt give a shit if anyone got paid other than himself, and then going through the same thing the next day. I got skinned just like the rest of you, to the point my family and I were on the brink of being homeless. Sorry if my attitude at the time was less than stellar.
