Slow paying, every excuse in the book and some new ones.
Will take 5 months for you to get paid, after a lengthy battle.
They are now on our DO NOT USE list.
Be careful.

Rockman is well-known as a p.o.s. carrier. I don't see a lot of their trucks on the 401 anymore. I used to call about their trucks on Link once in a while and consistently found them to be lousy with the phone and even less truthful about where their trucks are at.

Once upon a time ... Rockman was a good carrier with a proud family legacy. It was a few years ago where they decided to pretty much ditch the trucks and double broker freight instead.

Have a look at their website, they have something like 12 agents and 2 dispatchers ... do the math, they ain't no carrier.

They take all of their freight from US load brokers and 3PLs -- like warehousing companies ... all from the US.

Noproblembuddy ... you should know about this pretty well ... we came across this a few years ago when we worked together.

Rockman is on our DNU list as well. They are known for double brokering. Last loads that were done took over 112 days to get paid. Not worth the time and hassle to wait that long for payment.

Yep, Rockman is an unsual company. On SAFER, it says they have 12 trucks and no inspections or violations recorded. Makes sense given that when I check their website (Rockman Transport), it's almost like they're selling themselves to the public as something else. A rail division?? Evidently, it says on their website that, in 2001, they were selected by the CIFFA as "as one of the top five container, truckload and LTL carriers of Québec for 2001. The awards recognize the carriers' excellence in innovation, customer service, and technology and on time performance." But when I go on the CIFFA's website, Rockman doesn't show as a member.

Here's a list of their people, complete with afterhours #'s:

Afer waiting six months for payment the cheque bounced. They are double brokering and sucking the cash out of the company. Dont take a load from these people.

Howard Rockman has re-surfaced as 2626-5561 Quebec Inc operating as Rockman Trucking, run as fast as you can if this lowlife offers you a load. In this family run business, his father must be rolling over in his grave at what Howard did to his company.

Rockman

They've always been famous for double brokering.... my god he had a sales rep calling freight forwarders offering his trucking services..... I mean they have what 2 trucks now? And I believe 1 is just a local straightbody...... They have been on my DNU for a very long time.... You don't want to deal with them...

Rockman Trucking/Rockman Transport

We just recently received a letter from Howard Rockman, President of Rockman Trucking telling us he is not paying for two loads as the confirmations were under the name of Transport Rockman Canada, the funny thing is the letterhead is in Rockman Truckings name and address, yet there are other areas on the load confirmation that refer to Transport Rockman Canada and Rockman Transport as well. What a large crook, they have took us for two loads dating back to May of 2009. I am calling the shippers and receivers to advise them that these crooks enlisted their business with them or took it from another honest carrier to double broker. They are no longer on The Link, nor do any of their numbers work. Please do not take freight from anyone in PQ with the name of Rockman.

We got the same letter for 2 small invoices that go way back. We are also contacting the customers to try and get payment.

Bounced chq

We rec'd a cheque in april/may post dated till July and once it was time to put in it was cancelled. The invoice was from Feb....not a good sign!
