Having trouble collecting from RM Logistics of Montreal, QC.

2 invoices outstanding from July, 45 or so days in - call to check on status of invoices and broker is claiming there is a potential claim on one of the loads therefore they're holding invoices hostage. All bills are clean of course. Now almost close to 90 days and still no resolution just empty promises.

Called to check today no answer. Anybody had recent dealings with this broker? Any info is appreciated.

POTENTIAL CLAIM TACTIC WAS USED AGAINST US ALSO


Did a load April 21st - received payment July 6. Bob used every possible excuse to delay payment, first said there was a possible claim but this was only after we called looking for payment. Afterwards when this was solved he said the bill of lading was not signed. The job was done with no issues and our driver clearly did the work. Should mention the load went thru RM2 on the rate agreement but when I booked the load it was posted RM on the board. Needless to say they're on our DNU list.

Just received a cheque on Oct 6/10 at 41days. I usually deal with Eric. I've never had a prob!

Load done with us - first one - end of July. Account was paid without incident or having to call - first week of September.

No issues or payment delays....

I have been doing business with them for a few years and still using them at will. Never had an issue on payment terms average 35 to 45 days and for as much as 10000 per month.

Have been working with them a few years now.

Always have to negotiate the rate with them but usually will pay what you ask.

Terms are 30 days and check is usually in hand within 45. Have done over $20,000 in the last year. Sticklers on paperwork.

Funny thing - checks are issued from another company, I believe the name is something like Red Dot or Red Dog.

We deal with RM Logistics on a daily basis, they always pay fair and on time. Very good to deal with. My contacts are Rudy and Bruno they offer us loads through e-mail, trace them through e-mail, and pay on time. What's not to like?
