Part of an email chain - not bcc - so fun about 500+ people for subscribing to a disaptch service (email below) - seems shady at best - honesty who in their right mind would sign up for this and pay them PLUS crappy rates form the brokers they mentioned. With all the MC# theft - why would I willing give my documents to someone

The blatant fraud risk associated to these types of operations aside, if it was a legitimate service, I suppose there's some value for an O/O or a 2 to 3 truck fleet using their services where the owner of the company is also a driver and part of the fleet. Anyone larger than that, still using a "dispatch service" is just wild. There's a use-case for the O/O who wants to be behind the wheel, and have pretty much all of the back office work subbed out to another company and still run loads under their own MC/Authorities instead of being leased on or set up to haul for larger carrier.

Everyday I see our industry get more and more segmented than any other. You can outsource your book-keeping, maintenance, safety audits, staffing, rent your equipment etc and pretty much still operate a "trucking company". Question becomes how much control you are willing to give up for convenience and at what cost does that convenience make sense to you. In this market, with rates the way they are, taking into consideration the factoring fees, dispatch service fees etc, you'd be taking a 25% to 30% hit on your revenue at least before you saw any money in your bank account. I don't see how you survive like that with those costs.

Also, any time you deal with LCC from WY your alarm bells shout go off big time. WY has some special protections on confidentiality and owners indemnity that is very unique and super convenient for shady businesses.

I'm curious at one point do people at the registry not question how so many businesses are registered to one address? Like the building in NS with about 10k trucking companies all registered out of them, no one bats an eye?
