Seems like we run into same situations every year at this time
Brokers can pay increased rates to carrier and Never enough hours in a day to get loads there as time requested.
Need brokers and customers to realize weather now plays timing on deliveries big time

Don't forget, carriers also need to realize weather plays a huge roll too. Can't expect to leave at the same time or even the same day to make a delivery on time, big difference in leaving in August or February.

Sometimes though, you can do everything in your power to make on time and it just doesn't happen, no harm no fowl in that scenario.

I have always gone with the thought, the only load that is late is the load that doesn't get there and is now scattered across the highway. Most of what everyone is hauling has turned "hot" along the way, but we're not hauling lungs for a lung transplant, and the patient in in the O.R. just waiting for the new ones to show up. Better to show up a bit late, than not at all even if it costs a few bucks.

I'm done running around like a moron trying to make miracles happen, so that someone else looks good.
