I answer customer service and dispatch lines sometimes when people are having lunch, you know, because people here deserve breaks and customers/carriers should never have to leave voicemail if at all possible.
Quote of the day came from a customer I'm learning to love more and more:
"...we have a shipment (LTL) en route from Ontario to Texas that your carrier picked up on Monday scheduling for delivery Friday to our customer. We are calling to advise that we see there is horrible weather coming and we'd like to request that you ensure driver safety. Please have the driver pull over if they feel it is unsafe to drive, our shipment is not as important as the drivers safety..."
