REGINA -- A stretch of Highway 39 that was closed Monday due to a bridge failure is expected to remain out of operation for another two to 2 ½ weeks.

Drivers going to and from the U.S. are being directed away from the North Portal border crossing. Commercial vehicles are being asked to use either the Regway crossing on Highway 6 or cross at Boissevain, Man. — both 24-hour crossings.
