I am looking for a carrier with decks that can do a pick up and delivery for me. I had a receiver take the wrong pieces off a trailer yesterday and the second receiver didn't notice. Now a day later they want them switched around.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
 
Hi RK, maybe I can point you to someone here. First question, is it just regular flatbed freight (nothing oversize) and will tarps be involved? Is it real close or can you say which area it's going from or to? If it's right in Toronto/Mississauga/Concord/Brampton, if I were you, I would call West Metro Express. 1-800-463-7389 - talk to A.Z. (Azad) or Tony. Tony is the big cheese there and a great guy, so get to know him if you get local work a lot. He's very dependable and reasonable.

You could also try Scott Woods. Great company and has a whack of different pieces of equipment.

I'm not sure if CAD Logistics has flats - if they do, bonus. Nice people. 416-401-8881. If they don't, they will know who. You can also talk to Paul @ AMA Trans. He's a moderator on here and a carrier that can recommend someone that can help if none of the above are in a position.

West Metro should be able to do the job in a pinch. ;)

I thought there was an article last week about the Tony from West Metro being charged with Cargo theft?

OMG...I just found it! I didn't see that. Well, I guess I shouldn't have used "pinch" then. That blows me away - Tony used to come to Firm's office most Christmases and bring Italian food. Meh. (crosses off West Metro from mental list of favourites)
 
Yes...West Metro Express, Tony (President) was charged with theft.....there are others involved...
 
I was told to contact West Metro by one of the guys in the office. I was about to and then I saw the addrees of their place in our computer. That triggered my memory about the arrest. I mentioned it to my co-worker who is now going to sign up with Inside Transport. I've told him how helpful this site is and he sees how it can be useful now.

Probably due to weekend hold. The big guys are probably booked up.

You should maybe try E T Transport, they have rolltites if that works.

We made arrangements, but ya, holding over the weekend was part of the reluctance.
