The main function is to coordinate, dispatch, price and offer customer service to logistics based clients. The person will be working with 5 sales people and 5 logistics providers in the South Shore of Montreal region.
This is a head office where team work is important. The candidate would need to be good at multi-tasking and be flexible as the work ethic is to give good service to our customers and suppliers. Answering the telephone, directing calls and taking messages as necessary is part of the job. Attention to detail is important.
The candidate should have good knowledge of Microsoft office.
The candidate should understand that 90% of the business is conducted in English and must absolutely be perfectly fluent in English, both written and spoken. Notwithstanding the candidate must be fluent written and spoken in French.
In addition to helping various project departments establish the most efficient mode of transportation, you will provide recommendations and guidance in establishing transportation requirements, and obtain freight costs in the preparation of project tenders and feasibility studies. You will also be responsible for assisting in the evaluation of the Bid Tab process and coordinating International export and/or import shipments as well as domestic shipments. Your duties will include liaising with our customs brokers and freight forwarders, working closely with our buyers and expeditors and providing ongoing support to the procurement team.
(Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently as well as with other team members; Excellent computer skills; Bilingual (English-French).)
