We did a load for them- load needed "tracking"- we followed everything-load delivered when we received the check it was short paid by $540 USD. Reason- load not tracked.

I went back to check with them if they informed my team that it wasnt tracking to see if this is something missed by my team. But no- nothing came up. Navajo obviously is no help, they dont have the answer to my question.

I just received notification from another website for reviews posted against this broker and they all look very similar. I am not sure what my options are for recovery here. $2700 load - $540 .

I was waiting for a post like this - I'm surprised it didn't happen way before now. There is no way you can prove or disprove if tracking works or not. There is no way to know that someone is not sharing that information to the whole world. The best is not to offer tracking or supply it. Why would you want some 3rd party to know exactly where your driver is and be able to share that information to whomever?
I have submitted to CTPAT that the proliferation of 3rd parties, which are not related to the shipper or the receiver, demanding up to the minute, exact positional tracking as a security threat. The CTPAT individual I talked to agreed and also will be submitting my document to other law agencies because the same concept can be applied to non-border related security issues. Let's hope this gets some traction and they can make the demand of tracking illegal in this scope.

Jim, keep us posted on how this goes. I’ve been raising concerns about the risk of third parties tracking truck locations. If someone gets access to that data, they can find a truck and either plant or remove contraband without the driver knowing. It’s a serious security gap, and I’m curious what the your CTPAT officer has to say about how this is being handled. If this isn’t being addressed, it’s leaving the door wide open for problems.
