Where is all the freight? All my regular clients have dried up, and Link doesn't seem to have anything viable either.

The last few weeks have been very dry, is anyone else experiencing that. or is it just me?

BTW, I have a 53 dry van unloading in Montreal, looking for return back to Toronto.

This has been going on for months. We have had carriers offering to move for as little as $350.00 from Montreal to get back to Toronto.

That is not what we offered so please all the carriers out there don't shoot the messenger. We were not trying to rip off or low ball anyone that is what we were given by the carriers without trying to negotiate.

We are a broker, and I would I'm not offering less then 550.00 for a full load out of Montreal going to GTA. 350.00 per load ? Those people are crazy !!

Montreal - toronto

For this same reason, we don't send trucks to Montreal, unless we have solid load to come back with.

That's our main lane and yes it's been rough out there. Thank gosh, for our regular customers but even at that it's hot and cold.

The shippers shop around and get the cheapest broker and then it goes cheaper to the carrier.

I managed to get some decent LTL coming back so it wasn't a complete write off. But if you breakdown the costs on a per phone call basis, I think I got hosed.

Wow I sure earned my 3 dollars today!
