Hi,

We have a load ready to go at 3:30 PM on this lane today. It needs a dry van with barn doors only ... which sucks for us because the only equipment we have in Montreal today doesn't fit this description.

I'm actually surprised that given we're willing to pay $2.30 a mile nobody wants it -- rates we're getting are actually closer to the $4.00 per mile mark. We just can't work with that.

To be honest, the customer doesn't give us enough freight for us to warrant a loss on it ... but giving back orders is not something we typically do or want to be known for, no matter who the customer.

Any takers at $800? PM me please.

No offense theman but I am surprised you haul that lane for so low. I do loads to CT and MA all the time and pay the carriers 3.20 a mile or around $1200. I wish I had carriers that would do the lane for $800.

From Toronto area, we pay roughly the same per mile. To be honest, we don't move a lot of freight on this lane but we know that if our own truck is able to do it we're OK with that rate ... we run in a triangle around there.

We can probably chalk it up to not knowing the lane that well and just using assumptions based on projected revenue on the return trip.

As long as your profitable. The only carrier I have seen haul for that on that lane is Hyndman. Give them a call, worth a shot.
