Anyone with a good contact to fight a speeding ticket in Montreal south shore area. Driver was ticketed for 109 when dash cam shows 102 in a 100, and ticketed the company for not having speed limiter set when it. Address on ticket shows mailing to Qubec City. Need to fight this as this is just a bogus ticket.

Probably the latest scam and if not I did not type this as it will be a scam buy next week I am sure.

I don't think the speed on your GPS will stand up in court. Accuracy, calibration method/date, etc.
That'd be pretty tough to fight IMO.

If he had the cam footage for the entire trip on the 30 i think he would have a pretty good chance of beating it.

I am an Ontario carrier and tried to fight a QC ticket once. Here's what I learned.
I attempted to use a paralegal, like I use here in Ontario. I called and used Ticket911. They were expensive and talked a good story. They were successful in deferring the court date, basically kicking the can down the road for a bit but in the end said that my driver had to appear if we wanted to fight it - all they could do is enter a guilty plea. They could not negotiate on my driver's behalf. I was a bit perturbed about the whole process and the only thing I got was that it was deferred by six months. I still had to pay the same ticket and plus I had to pay Ticket911.
If I had to do it again, I think I'd save the money and just pay for my driver to go there and contest it. It would probably be the same cost. If your driver speaks French then for sure have the driver contest it.
Remember, Quebec and Ontario have reciprocity so any violation conviction in Quebec will be noted on your CVOR and your drivers abstract with the same number of points assigned if the violation happened here in Ontario. 9km over is worth 2 CVOR points and zero driver abstract points. If your CVOR is good, you may want to just pay it and be done with it.

Thanks the insite, I've done this once before, represented myself in Valleyfield court, but it's a waste of 2 days by the time I drive out and back.
