Anyone here allowed to move military weapons to the USA?
Or know anyone that can?
I've been told the Corporal in Montreal, QC (where the pickup is) will not release anything without the driver having an RCMP permit.
Any info would also help...

Thanks noproblembuddy!
They were able to confirm right away that they do carry firearms, but just as everyone else I've spoken to, they are at a loss as to what this Corporal in Montreal is talking about having an RCMP permit.

Military Moves

The issue on what the DND requires of a carrier to move anything, let alone ordinance, is way above the pay grade of a mere Corporal for determination. It's best to ask the Corporal to seek direction from the officer in charge.

The supervisor @ Nordique knew exactly what the corporal wanted so at least that is finalized :D
And although they move all kinds of military stuff, they also don't know why the Corporal wants the permit for the bolts, but they have it so no more arguing with the Army ;)

Just my two cents worth here. For shipping military weapons, wouldn't the weapon supplier need to deal with a certified carrier? I can imagine someone finding out what the corporal needs and forging it and then an entire shipment of weapons winds up in the wrong hands. Think of some of the less than reputable brokers we complain about on this site and then imagine them having a truck load of weapons to sell. Not a pretty thought. With the security requirements in place these days, I can't believe they are handled by anyone other than a certified weapons hauler.

We used to haul missiles to US Air Force bases some years ago but in the past few years they implemented a rule that only US Citizens can haul them onto the base. It became a nightmare arranging a carrier to deliver the missiles so we got out of it. Too bad, because they paid well. They also were smart enough to send the propulsion assembly with a different truck and usually a different carrier all together.
