Hoping I can borrow some expertise to cut through all the jargin and get an easy answer. Can I run my standard triaxle vans through Michigan and if so - is my payload reduced from Ontario regs. Same question for 4 axles. Thanks so much - I seem to keep getting conflicting answers when I have been researching.

Keep in mind multi-axle configurations are not supposed to be over 48' in Michigan.

They do allow Canadians with 50' multi-axle units. 53' tridems are allowed as Ralph mentioned with 13000 per axle. Confused yet????

If you need more info pm me and I can provide you with more info as we operate multi-axle flats & trains in Michigan, and I'm familliar with the rules with this type of equipment.

Ralph, Only 53' tri's , more than 3 trailer axles are limited to 50'. We run numerous 6 axle flats (spif & non spif) and had them built to 50' long, as per mich. regs (I really wish we could have had them 53') .

OK, thanks for this.

As tolerant as Michigan is with weight, axles and spacing I can't comprehend this....
