This carrier has to have the worst communication I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with.

Trying to get updates on shipments in transit loads very difficult

Trying to get an update on a load that was supposed to deliver yesterday. Nearly impossible.
They are screening our calls to avoid providing any updates on the load, not replying to emails.

I called from a blocked number and got someone on the phone. Gave me minimal updates and said he would get the team to send me over a tracking link on the load ASAP. 2 hours ago and no reply on from them no answering calls again no tracking link, since they said they would send it.

"Ben" Apparently is the higher manager there and we have been asking to talk to him all week but never available and no one ever calls back.

Also - Possible double brokering?
There are usually just two reasons for this lack of communication. Firstly, you could be correct about the double brokering. They gave the shipment to someone else and are having difficulty getting timely responses from the outfit hauling your shipment. The other probable reason is they have completely screwed up your load. If it was an LTL, then one of their other shipments has gone sideways meaning yours is trapped. Either they actually don’t know what is going on or they are reluctant to tell you the truth about their screw up. Either way it’s a bad situation and a good reason to DNU this carrier in the future.

Their SMS OOS score is higher than the average but definitely not the worst I've seen. I guess someone has to be higher.

If you look at their inspections, you'll see a lot of violations that were not OOS. If a carrier has that little regard for the quality of their equipment and their drivers have that many violations, you can just imagine what attention to detail is being reserved for your freight or your expectations.

They do have a lot of trucks but they are also known for double brokering loads.
I'm 95% sure they double brokered your load and that is why you are getting the silent treatment.

We managed to stir up a response when we told them we suspect this load was double brokered or stolen - due to their lack of communication.

The reply "summarized" was basically we would never double broker don't accuse us of that and we have been replying (LOL) now the excuses are rolling -their truck is at a customers yard for the weekend and they will deliver Monday since they didn't make it in time today. Since its in another customers secure yard they cannot provide a tracking link for the load.
