Aside from Peterbilt and Kenworth, is there any medium and heavy duty truck manufacturing in Canada? Stirling had a plant in Saint Thomas, but they’re long gone. And years ago we had some legendary nameplates of our own: Scott, Hayes, Pacific and of course Western Star.

How will President Trump’s tariff on heavy trucks to the US impact Canada? Does Paccar build trucks in Canada for the US market? Likely our trailer manufacturers will be hit hard.

Edison Motors a new diesel electric hybrid is being built in BC. If it works it may be cutting edge, Works on same principal as a ship. Running diesel engine to power a genny to power the truck.
I was gonna mention them also, been following along on youtube a bit. I thought this was a great idea for trucks for years.. a train also runs on the same powertrain design. Though their example so far is more for the vocational market i suppose.
