Afternoon Members,

I'm looking for any good or bad information on the above noted companies in Mississauga. They are the same owner apparently.

I've got a driver friend who did some work for this company - they refuse to pay him for the couple weeks of work. Now they are looking for drivers as per the link below:

If anyone knows the owner of this outfit - please either post or send me a PM. My next call will be to the owner of this establishment to advise his company has "shown up" on this site.

Which as we all know...is never a good thing....

I don't know McVean Logistics but S. Mitri Haulage is an old family company that's been around for many years.
If you are concerned for your driver friend, it would be wiser to contact these people directly rather than imply, in a public forum, that they are disreputable.

Thank you for your information on S. Mitri Haulage. Unfortunately the information I have does not shed them in a good light. And if I find out anything further - will be sure to include an update and/or correction.

If anyone else has had negative dealings with either company - please post.

If payment of wages is the true issue, they can get the Labour board to act on their behalf. If they are no longer working there, it is the best place to start.
 
I agree Jim L - he has filed already. It can take up to 6 months to "investigate" - and not all of us can wait that long for monies owed.

I hope there is a positive outcome here and it is chalked up to a misunderstanding.
 
An update to this post - the payment matter has been rectified. Thank you to the member who sent me a PM and was able to assist in obtaining a prompt resolution. Your help was most appreciated.
