Would appreciate some feedback from anyone providing recent credit to them as to how they performed payment-wise. Thanks for any/all help.

Charlie has been around for a hundred years. Good company and good guy.
You will be treated right.

Re: McGillion Transport

Thank you folks. Much obliged for your prompt responses.....have a great weekend!

Is anyone else getting dragged out with payments from McGillion? In recent months they're taking 75-90 days to settle up and promises to pay by a certain date are more often not being met.

Is what used to be a reasonably up front and reliable outfit having cash flow problems? Any feedback will be appreciated.

Thanks.

It's official guys, check out McGillions' website. They moved in with GM Smith as of January 20th.

Hmmmm - didn't see that one coming.

Their Move

Apparently their move was both financial and necessary.
I spoke with their owner and found that the location they were in was financially killing them. Apparently they had subleased part of the facility they were in in Orangeville, On. and only found out after 8 months that the tenant they had leased from wasn’t paying the buildings owner, the gas company or the electrical bills. The tenant then went bankrupt leaving McGillion on the hook for the bills. In the end they only had to pay big money to keep the bldg/company operating as finding a suitable facility to run a trucking firm is difficult. Zoning laws in Ontario are terrible for this.
I was also told that the closure of their biggest customer John Deere in Welland severely hurt them as well. They were taking 20 flat deck and van loads a week from there. This caused a loss of revenue big time!
Currently they are catching up on overdue accounts etc. but this will take time. They are not making excuses but hope that people will understand it takes time to catch things up.
Yes I’m a former employee and used to run the Deere stuff.

One has to appreciate honesty...people who will say upfront that they are having a hard time and are nevertheless making arrangements to honor their commitments, and not trying to weasel out of them.

nothing within the last few months. But averaging at 48 days for 10+ drops in 2016
