Anyone having problems collecting from this company? I was told when I called that he pays 60 day terms and whenever he feels like it.

I have an invoice 90 days old and today could not get a decent reply as to when the cheque was mail and if mailed.

Gil is not a nice man and hangs up on people.

Beware

This company appears on the DOT Safer system as a common carrier, not a property broker. From the large number of threads we've seen on this site, there seems to be a recurring problem with carriers offering unregistered, unlicensed freight brokerage services. Perhaps there should be a new forum called, "non paying carriers".

Hey Blondie,

Did you get your money and how long did it take?

We were told last week when following up on an invoice over 30 days for payment status that they do not pay over 60 days as well; was not once discussed or mentioned when booking the load, and it sounds like they do not hold up their end of the bargain to pay at 60 days either...just another flash in the pan I guess with a shady business operator; all we can do as a well educated group is push these types of operations out the door through sites like this one at a time. Maple Road Express, I hope you see these posts and get your act together; this industry weeds businesses out with these types of practices very quickly; we did not sign up to be your bank or credit institution when we hauled your load...

He operates out of his residence in Brampton. Has anyone gone over there and just rung the doorbell? No different than if this outfit ran an office. Show up and find out what the issue is and why you aren't being paid.

Just a thought....maybe Blondie has an update.

I did get paid after many calls and also called their customer.

You need to put pressure on the shipper/consigee and Maple Road.

You will get paid from someone, but consider putting them on a DNU list.

I just received my cheque at 75 days.

No calls to the customer required thankfully, but I did have to call Maple Road several times.

Would probably do you no good to call the shipper anyway. Usually when the broker is slow paying its because he/she has crappy accounts that are slow paying too.
