Good morning, Just thought letting you know they filed for proposal . Seems like they were not able to renew with profits..

Do you have a copy of that to post? Their website 'news' posting Jan 20 indicates otherwise:

"We would like to inform that we are fully operational and would like to thank all our customers for the continued support!

Nous tenons à vous informer que nous sommes pleinement opérationnels et nous vous remercions pour le soutien continuel!"

Keep well,

Has anyone actually done business with them recently? The last communication I had with anyone their was on January 13th.

There is nothing on the web yet. I can send you on your email the infos though so you can confirm.

I don't need it, they don't owe me any funds. I'm just trying to ensure major details being posted about large companies who have been around a long time are accurate is all.
In the end, I'm sure people owed will receive a notice in the coming days and someone will post it up here.

Keep well,
Mike

yes they will. I would not post this if the sources would not be 100% accurate. It comes from EchoGroup, a company similar to Dun & Bradstreet

How does the law work in this case?

On January 20th they stated they were operating fine, but all signs state that at that time they were filing for bankruptcy. Is there no laws to protect creditors from false statements?

so... this company is going bankrupt?

and... they are posting on their website as recently as 11 days ago to inform that "we are fully operational"... pretty sure their A/P department is not "fully operational" at this point...

Is it just me, or does that seem pretty crappy....

Good luck to all those who are owed funds...

Some people are owed very large amounts, primarily their US agents doing all of their P&Ds. I am sure every single call they received was answered 'all is fine, don't worry, we'll get that taken care of' while they prepared for this. No one has received any payments for months from them, so this was well orchestrated.
Based on the filing, I am sure there will be ripple effects on atleast a few more Canadian carriers who they have taken for a ride. Being able to convince others to work with you, even while lying through your teeth, is all part of this game. They have no remorse I am sure.

I hope it ain't so. Alan Maislin is a good man... would be sad if he had to go through this again.

Well they jerked me around since the summer and then bounced a cheque on me before xmas.

Is it out of line to call the trustee and ask?

Isn't that nice... this is really starting to look like it was orchestrated for some time...

Not out of line at all sir...

Get in there!

They were struggling for 2 years and were shopping around with the dark horse buyers out there to bail them out. Things must have been pretty bad if nobody bit.

Well I got a copy of the partial list of creditors by email, just under 5 million.....how do these people sleep at night? I feel bad for the employees.
