LSLINC (Light Speed Logistics Inc.)

No business dealing but they did close the 401-402 a few times last year and there are lots of pictures of their equipment parked in ditches rolled over etc on bookface.
Thanks Rob. I was debating using them but their communication seems to be lacking.

@loaders Calgary, AB? Do they have more then one location? Also seems the guy I'm in contact with is also working for another company, or at least it seems. The specific last name is not one you come by often.

Also closed the Long island Expressway with one of my loads a few years ago when they hit the first bridge they got to. Driver didn't know that the expressway has low bridges (they should put up a sign or something).

Can't save a person who thinks push doors are pull. Signage for those who are a little bit hard on understanding could benefit as long as they are observant. Doesn't sound like these drivers are. Good to know though.
Thanks, won't be using them anytime soon.

An update on recent dealings with Light Speed. They took an LTL from one of my dispatchers from OH to AB in Oct 2020. All went well but the customs broker called a few weeks after the order wondering why it had not cleared yet. Upon further investigation it turns out that there was a second entry on the order. Light Speed had double brokered the order to CST from Surrey. CST tried to put in an entry on their pars, in the mean time Light Speed put their pars over the CST pars and set up an entry. Boom busted.
In conversations with Clint they said they broke down and wanted to save us harmless so they covered off. Beating up a carrier for another 500.00 off what we were paying.
Held payment to ensure CST was paid.
Owner of LS called threatening to call all parties yesterday. Told them to send proof of payment and such. With that said Gurpreet was his name said he was the owner. Says they do this whenever they need to, didn't seem to show any care. I suggested that their load sheets when they broker loads strictly forbid sub contracting yet they can do it themselves.
I know Light Speed has been through many issues in the past and it seemed they cleared them up. But just be leary, they have equipment yes, but if they feel the need to broker your freight and abuse another carrier they will which leaves you the OG broker in the lurch.
As of now we don't need them and they are back on the DNU list for being another carrier who will double broker your freight.
