There is that guy out west, Canada 99, or Load 99, or something. Claims to have lots of freight on their system. Sells it as a way to cut “the big bad broker” out of the transaction so that the carrier can deal direct with the shipper. Problem is, the carrier has to pay them for that privilege, and it is a pretty hefty cut last time I looked. He made a brief appearance on Inside Transport last year, but haven’t heard anything from them lately.
