Longest wait for AP to answer phone

As the title states, what's the longest you've had to wait on hold for a member of Accounts Payable to answer the phone? Did you eventually give up or did they answer and resolve your question? Currently been on hold for 25 minutes with no answers to any of my emails either.

OMG... We have a mandate and monitored KPI's to have a human answer by the 3rd ring, and its not a large finance team either.... My god, sh*t would hit the fan in so many ways if someone was on hold for 5 mins let alone 25 mins. wow!!!

Wish every broker was like you haha, most of the companies we work with are fine but I swear with some of them it feels like they intentionally don't hire people for AP hoping you give up on trying to collect overdue invoices

hehe.. Ever notice that hold times are seem to be indirectly tied to payment times/days?
I know at our place, as a local carrier and also having a brokerage division we pay super fast, we don't have people on hold looking to reach us...
