Logistics Specialist Looking for Opportunity

I hear Wilride is looking for a dispatcher anyone have any info on them? Been around it says for awhile have not done anything with them, how are they to deal with and does any one have any thing good or bad to say about them. thinking of applying.

Haven't dealt with them for a while, but when we did, they offered great service. Not sure if the owner Joe is still involved in the day to day operation, but he's a stand up guy. Have known them for 20+ years. I'd say, give them a try.

Sorry that I did not get back to everyone that replied I had personal problems at home. Still looking but I have been advised a couple of times that I am over qualified some people think with the years of experience I have I will be bored as a logistics coordinator. Any thoughts.

That is really my point. 15 years doesn"t really make you overqualified in this business. Damn I've been doing this crap for 22 years and I'm only 40. I'm still consider a young pup compared to some of the old farts i talk to on a daily basis.
No offence to the old farts on here. lol
I'm pretty sure it comes down to asking for to much money. Transportation isn't really rocket science.

I could be wrong, but my definition of a logistics co-ordinator is someone who works for a 3PL whose job is to move freight thru outside carriers at a profit. If over qualified that would mean that you should be doing rather well at making the spreads. Without knowing your qualifications and background maybe you should be seeking a higher position in the industry. If your resume makes you look "over qualified" and you prefer to work as a logistics co-ordinator you should bring it up first and explain why you prefer to work in a lower paying position. If your desire to make a move is due to wanting to leave your present employer for whatever reason, then let the interviewer know that. Good luck!

you are funny. When I see "over qualified" I assume it's because they don't want to pay the $$$$$ you deserve. Are you in the Toronto area?

nope Montreal. I was not trying to be an ass. I was just stating that it would be next to impossible to be overqualified to be a logistics coordinator. Perhaps the companies he has applied to don't want to pay him what hes worth, or perhaps he is asked for more money than he is worth. . Either way good luck finding a job to the original poster.
Hope i didn't offend anyone. not my intention.

I agree with your statement, over-qualified to be a 3PL dispatcher, no chance.
