How is it possibile that Loft claims bankrupcy? Thier credit on Link is excellent, we've never had to call them for payment. Like a punch in the gut we get a bankrupcy letter out of the blue.

Sorry to say Equifax and DNB reports are a waste of money, the data provided on link is just a snapshot of old information that never gets updated.

If the D&B reports are just a snapshot of old info, who can you trust? We do a lot of business with U.S. freight brokers and never have to call any of them for rmoney. Most of them will even give you fuel advances after you pick up the load, we fortunately don't need fuel advances but at least it's there. It's only in Canada where Pirates and Gypsy's can open a freight brokerage, screw carriers out of money and have absolutely no repercussions against them. (My apologies to Pirates & Gypsies for mentioning you with F.B's)

GordM, while I understand where you are coming from, this situation is not limited to Canada. Per the link below....double brokering / identity theft is up in the US 57%...and the dollars are much bigger down there than up here....Just a point of view....

Just a quick note here - DNB does show that the company is out of business.
And yes - LOFT was always prompt with their payments, and their bankruptcy was a bit of a shocker - obviously no one saw that coming, including DNB.
