Beware of Load King Trailer Rentals.
We rented a trailer from them for the past year. When our term was coming up for renewal and we told them we were not interested in renewing as we were buying 2 trailers, their accounting got very shady. All of a sudden they started taking out 2 payments on the same day. We pay by Visa.
They took a total of 4 payments out in March alone! 2 on March 5 and 2 more on March 31. When I called to enquire as to why, I got the old " Let me pull your file and get back to you this afternoon."
I negotiated a very good deal with them when we first got the rental agreement. Unlimited miles, full maintenance and service, the whole 9 yards. Our problems started when we took the trailer in for a brake adjustment. The manager was recalculating what we owed for the mileage we used, when he was informed we had an agreement for unlimited mileage he blew a gasket. He even threatened to keep the trailer and not let us finish out our contract.
They even offered to sell us the trailer we have, for about twice what it is worth. Their main selling point? "Well it has new brakes you know!"
