He had picked up a load of 22 horses in Minnesota and was bound for Pincher Creek, Alta., when border officials stopped him at the Emerson crossing. Inside Giesbrecht’s trailer, border officials found several injured horses trapped under the bodies of dead ones.

I read that article this morning and my stomach was sick....how he could just keep on driving knowing there was suffering and anguish occuring right behind him.

The "sentence" is horrendous - he should be doing serious jail time for this - it is beyond cruelty to animals...a deplorable action without conscience. A person of this nature in society is one scary individual...
