I have an invoice for 55 days and called them today and the guy said he had a pile of cheques on his desk and he would mail mine today, I will let you know if I get it. BUT we have done business with them for a few years and have had no problems with them.

LOL he always has a pile of cheques, just takes 3 weeks to get them cause he claims Canada post doesnt work. i been doing business with him for 2 years and it only keeps going downhill. he is not only RUDE but arragont and never gives you the proper answer on what is paid on the cheq when is accually is getting mailed and status of invoices.

i got paid, not planning to work with him again, his not a professional.

I'm probably a little late responding to this post but, the info given is just as relevant today as it was last year...

Just had my first experience with this guy, Ian is his name. He is still in business, surprisingly, and still paying as slow as carriers will let him.

My invoice was over 80 days when I finally got paid, but only after threatening to contact his customer and driving down to that hell-hole he calls his office to pickup the cheque personally.

To answer the question about his location, he is now at 49 Rivalda Road in Toronto. The building has some other business' name on it and looks abandoned. When you go inside, you will see boxes and papers scattered everywhere with various bits of garbage on the stained floors, but no indication that a business actually operates there until you get to the end of a very dark hallway where there is door with no name on it, and the keys hanging from the door knob. Ian is behind that door in the middle of a mess of papers, none of which are cheques by the way... Looks like a good place to buy crack...

Sorry for the long-winded story, just couldn't believe my eyes when I went there...

Well that would explain the hellhole of an office with papers alll over the place... a chip off the old block.

BTW -- I'm pretty sure Howard of Grizzly Adventures and Sheldon are the same guy ... a legend in his (their) own minds ...

Sheldon

There's somebody I had almost forgotten about !!!- Took some freight from him years ago and found out later he took freight of the DAT and double brokerd it to Canadian carriers. I remember going to his location somewhere in the downtown Toronto area to pick up my cheque - he opened the door of his apartment/office just a crack leaving the security chain hooked up to pass me the cheque and all I could see through the door was piles and piles of newspapers everywhere.
Seemed like a strange guy.
