We did a load for them but didn't notice in their stupid fine print that they pay in 90 days. Be very careful of this outfit because who knows what will happen with them in 90 days.

Over the last few months, I have noticed many of their trucks on the road.
They caught my eye with the beautiful decal on their trailers.
 
Their insurance has been cancelled and has not been replaced yet. It is currently in pending status.

I suggest that anyone working with this company should thread very carefully or better else, just stay clear.
We have a $300.00 invoice dated June. Fighting to get paid.
 
After waiting their 30 days we sent someone in to collect the cheque. Lo and behold, the cheque is returned NSF (what a surprise). Demanded for 3 1/2 business days with numerous phone calls to their AP dept and to dispatch to transfer me to AP because they don't answer to get paid some other method and heard every excuse in the book (our banking doesn't allow E-transfer, send me your banking info we'll direct deposit, etc). Finally we received the payment with an additional for the bounced cheque after 106 days of delivering.
I do want to add that this load was double brokered from a US broker but since I was not setup in the originating brokers system they wouldn't pay me directly especially because Legend had already been paid. This is a closed chapter in yet another carrier/broker in Brampton who is on the DNU list.

Jim's review is 14 months old, companies change, management, operations, and finances, etc are forever evolving. We have dealt with companies that have nothing but positive reviews here and had a really hard time dealing with them. always good to get an update to see how things are lately, it helps everyone :)

Edit: I am in no way defending Legend, I'm sure they are still pretty bad LOL but let's not discourage engagement on the forum, it's what keeps alive and chooching like a well-oiled caterpillar engine.

As a fyi, they had a major service failure with us. Poor communication.

We have worked with Legend Transportation quite frequently over the past few years on simple Ontario loads. I would rank them higher on the reliability scale than most. I cannot attest to others' grievance on this thread, but this is my experience with them as a broker.
