Hello,

Checking in to see if anyone has ever used this carrier

Kuthala Group Inc.
2 Muscovy Drive
Brampton ON L7A 4M3

CVOR: 194-951-515

Looking for any insight on service, equipment etc.

Thank you,

Lou

I have been on the other end where we have helped them out with a local cartage move. Went to see them in person to pick up the cheque, (which was paid on time) and I can confirm they are a medium size fleet. I cannot speak on service but that is their yard address in Georgetown, ON and they do have equipment with their decals on them.

Any latest update on them? They are trying to book a load with us. Do they pay on time? If they are mid size trucking company, are they double brokering? Did any member here give them load from ON to BC this week which they are trying to book with us? this is not our preferred lane, so don't know much.

Hello @bigt I found a post regarding them that they double broker loads and do not pay the hauling carriers. The Carrier was filing a lawsuit for payment.

Dispatch did end up taking load from them since Long weekend in Both, US and Canada and invoice is at 42 days now. They are saying they pay 60 days. fingers crossed now.

64 days in our system today and 60 days according to KUTHALA. They supposed to get check ready this morning and we had schedule Fed ex to pick up but their manager went missing in the action and no one else can sign the check but they can't provide the copy of the check either..

After numerous emails stating that check will be ready at 60 days.

I am trying to contact all parties on the documents.

Can some one help me how to go after their bond?

If they are a licensed freight broker handling trans border shipments, they must be registered with FMCSA. FMCSA have a website called Safer where you can look up licensed carriers and brokers and get their pertinent information, such as who holds a brokers surety bond. Once you have that info, contact the bonding company (usually an insurance firm) and submit all of your details.

Loaders, Thanks for advise. But when i try to find surety bond, number or contact information, does not come up.

For example, it says, All American agents of process and then it gives the long list for each US States. nothing for Canada and even for US locations, address only.
it is bit confusing.

The reason you cannot find their surety bond provider is because they don’t have one. They are NOT a licensed freight broker and therefore have no surety bond for you to claim against.. They are a licensed freight carrier, but have no authority to provide freight brokering services. This should have been one of the most important things to check before you accepted their load. Your only recourse now is to take them to Small Claims Court. You should also put the shipper/receiver on notice that you will be looking to them for payment of your freight charges. Your best bet is to retain the services of an experienced transportation paralegal, such as Scam Chaser who is on this site.

This is because they are not a broker with a bond - if you look up an actual broker it will show surety bond and if you click on that there will be contect info
