KCG Freight Works
Owner is Shawn - owes us one invoice for $600 since November 2007 - says his customer hasn't paid him. Is of the opinion that if he does not receive payment - he is not responsible to pay the carrier. His cell# is 905-955-0509. Left him alone for the past month - said would make a partial payment which did not transpire. Another delinquent freight broker working from his basement.

Can you tell me what the relationship is here with Goggins and KCG Freightworks? I was told Jim owns Goggins and Shawn owns KCG - have they paired up? Please advise - thanks.

KCG Logistics is Shaun Goggins (nephew to Jim Goggins)
Both companies relied heavily on traffic from Quebecor World, so obviously their cash flow is crap now.
KCG Logistics is a sole proprietorship so there is no limited liability corporation protection.
It appears that Goggins Transportation put the loads through KCG who then brokered the loads to guys like you and me.

Yes they would - if you list the company names and affiliations with a brief outline of circumstances - Load Link will first contact them - verify the details and remove them.
I am sure Goggins will be off the Link soon - Jim told me at the moment he is trying to sell off his building and is barely staying afloat since Quebecor did not pay him - that was one of his biggest customers. He has bills not paid since last Fall he said.

Does he really owe you the money?
This is an interesting case for the new trust account law.
Since he didn't get paid, there is no money in trust to pay you, the carrier.
He may have a case that he doesn't actually owe you the money.

That could fly, but..... did he notice you right away so you can put a claim on his customer that you did the load for or was she sitting on it? and did he get paid for the load you did and not some other loads? did he cut himself the paycheck before yours? i had two customers that didnt pay me and i paid my the carriers i used and explained to them the situation and work out payments. knock on wood to avoid that as much as possible. still his responsibility to pay. just a thought
It Was For A Shipment That He Was Paid For. I Have Already Contacted His Customer. This Is Not A Quebecor Shipment. There Was Another Owner Of Rjk Trucking Other Then Jim Goggins.....all I Have Is A First Name Of Ralph. Any One Know Anything About Him?
