We recently booked a load with this carrier ( which also has the name K & P transport on their door ) to move a load to ontario to BC
the freight was due to arrive on the tues, but at the end of the day, we found out the driver had hit an animal in northern ontario 3 days earlier and apparently not told anyone. When we asked for receipts, we were told no problem. ( they have still not come through our fax )
Without going into pages of information, the freight missed 2 other delivery times they had promised to meet and the excuses and lies started rolling in.
The freight arrived on the friday at 4 pm after the driver went missing from 8 am on a 20 minute driver ( apparently flat tire and cell got lost )... Driver must have sat in his truck for 8 hrs till someone found him ... another reason not to use this company if their drivers don't have the common sense to call someone when truck breaks down.
We were also told at 5 pm on thursday to pay or they would hold the product - we paid email transfer for friday 8 am delivery.
a week and a half later, we are still trying to get the repair receipt, which is obviously another lie. the freight also delivered on an intermodal container ( receiver took pic ), so it obviously was sent via rail or crossdocked in BC as it was double brokered.
I strongly recommend you avoid using a carrier like this. They ignored our phone calls and lied to us and our receiver several times, held freight, missed numerous re-scheduled times, not to mention everything else we haven't found out about.
In my short 13 yr industry experience, in my opinion, this is by far the worst carrier I have ever dealt. The lies and lack of professionalism reached a new height while dealing with this carrier. My only recourse at this point is to alert as many people I know which I explained to them I would be doing - they just laughed !!... thats service for you.
