JCA Transport?

I've had difficulties with timely updates, but if this isnt urgent freight - our team has had success in the past and no claims on file.
Must be something in the midwest...:)

updates are extremely hard to come by, Booked a pick up for Friday, was given an eta of noon, later found out the eta went to 4-5pm and after several more unresponsive emails on Monday the shipper told me nobody showed. They arrived on Monday and attempted to pu the freight but already had hired someone else and they thought it was ok not to update as they just pushed the order till Monday.
 
Similar experience here... no updates, they will accept freight for delivery the following week but then are unable to service. No calls and messages go unanswered
 
Similar experience here. But as Slav was telling us: "If we were so unreliable we would not be on market for 15 years."
Please offer you the joy of not using these guys. Delivered a big LTL a week late in Oklahoma with nothing but lies in between. Definitely gone from our suppliers list for good.
 
I went against my better judgment and gave JCA a shipment last week.

Slav called me and pretty much begged me for my LTL shipment indicating delivery by the end of the week.

Picked up in the GTA on Tuesday, September 17th. Our CSR team tracked this shipment almost daily indicating no delays and our shipment was going to be delivered on Friday as scheduled.

Friday comes, told by Slav; 9:30 am driver is approaching Des Moines, IA, and will deliver your shipment in NE by 1-2 pm. Called again at noon to check the driver's status, no answer.
After 5 calls, Slava answered the phone to tell our CSR, "he's still in IA getting unloaded and that the truck would be there by 2 pm as previously indicated".

By this time, the file was escalated to me to resolve.

I got in touch with Slav at 2:30 asking for ETA, he sounded like he was having a mental breakdown or heart attack or both. But he hung up the phone on me and I could not reach him until Monday 10:00 am.

By this time, I knew the truck never arrived on Friday. So, when I got in touch with Slav, he goes off telling me that he never promised Friday, it was LTL. And it will deliver today. The truck only crossed the border Sunday evening. With contradicts what happened on Friday but ok I said.

Unable to reach JCA until Tuesday morning, again by this time, I knew the shipment did not deliver. His excuse, the truck broke down and is in IA. LOL, what a complete idiot but I let him go through the motions and he finally tells me it will be delivered by Wednesday.

Wednesday comes, and again, the truck is in IA only 200 miles away, and will deliver this afternoon. The Customer waited until 5 pm and once again, no truck.

Finally Thursday at 1:45 the truck shows up. The customer had to move 3 skids to get theirs. I had the receiver take pictures of the truck and trailer, bc at this point, I knew it was double brokered or even maybe triple brokered. Long and behold the pictures come back as a JCA truck and trailer. WTF.

Goods delivered without any damages which the client was happy about.

This goes without saying, but I will never this POS another stick of business again.
 
Would be interesting to ask the customs broker when the load cleared into the USA. Same result, but at least you have more verified details to give your client. Sucks when people don't do what they say.

Is this crap company still in business? Owes us on a load and cannot get a hold of them. All phone numbers gone and not answering emails
 
Without a doubt, it was a doubled-brokered load.
He called me a few times last week wanting an explanation as to why I shorted the last invoice.
The # that popped up on my phone is 416-735-3152
