Illinois police nab two Ontario men with cocaine worth US$40 million in truck

Drivers from Canada being busted in the USA?
When the story has limited information I always wonder if it's the shipper who loaded the truck, the drivers or both involved. I guess that's what evidence and courts are for.

Keep well,
Mike

sad to see with trucking slowing down, these drivers/companies are resorting to smuggling drugs for quick cash, which is tarnishing the industry’s image. What’s worse is that a specific demographic is heavily involved (dont come after me, just stating facts), adding another layer of stigma to an already struggling field. Had a buddy make a sly reference to drug running when I told him trucking was slow, so it seems that regular folks already, think it's an easy out in this industry.

Anyone else noticing a pattern here ?
Sure do and anyone that says different is just pandering to the masses or don't have the balls to say it out loud. Peel Region companies get your shit together, Now I will admit they did not name the POS company (they should) but $ to donuts it is another fine Peel carrier running a highly legit we screw the CRA the drivers and anyone else we can outfit just out there making us all look so good in front of the public. Last 20 or so big drug bust with trucks involved going off the names they could all be cousins and not Joe and John Smith..

US president elect says tariffs until Canada gets their cross border crime under control. Everyone acts confused lol.

I'd like to know if this truck was Canada bound or US bound and from which direction. The picture looks like its grocery items, properly packaged and load barred in. I don't know if that is an after reloading picture or if the drugs were just sitting in the back of the trailer.
The last letter of the plate is visible. It looks like an Ontario trailer plate ending in 'J'. The truck has a moose bumper on it. That must be the pattern @Nawk was referring to. ;)

I would put money on Canada bound coming off the coast.
