I am on a quest for information about fuel mileage. I am sure there are many carriers here, big and small, that have new equipment, not-so-new equipment, and old equipment. Some run heavy, some light, some in between. I am pretty certain I am not the only one that wants or needs this information. So, for anyone willing to share, I have a few questions ...
1) What truck/engine combinations are getting you the best fuel mileage?
2) What kind of fuel mileage are you getting? If quoting MPG, please specify US gallons or Imperial gallons.
3) Are these combinations new, not-so-new, or old?
4) What are your breakdown/service issues with these combinations?
5) Are you applying any new technologies to help improve your fuel mileage?
6) Add in any other comments you think might be pertinent to the topic.
