That is good advice. There are lots of carriers looking for work, good ones and bad ones. Why not use an established, legitimate carrier, preferably one you have a history with as opposed to some new guy you’ve never heard of, sporting a number of the warning signs Nawk pointed out? A few months ago, when there was lots of freight for everyone, even the bad guys were busy, raping and pillaging unsuspecting shippers and freight brokers. Now, with less freight available, they are on the prowl searching for new victims. Keep your guard up and don’t be a victim. Rates are down for everyone, good carriers might be a wee bit more, but they are not expensive.
