Hey team hopefully everyone is healthy and stress free.

We get an opportunity to work with big chain company. they have sent as list of stores that they ship to out of our MN DC. they require as t0 submit per mile rates without fuel added.
The stores list looks like this 58 miles,150 miles 180 miles 250 miles and 425 miles from DC location, you get the point lol. How would you quote something like this? it will be drop and hook from DC.

Forget to mention all loads are FTL from DC..

Thank you

They want it quoted by the mile so quote it by the mile, ensuring you take into account the substantial added expense of drop and hook. Also, leave some room in your rate to compensate for extra wear and tear on your trailers that drop/hook generally involves.

I have a client that does this also, we quote it per mile with a MIN charge with the extra stop charges and FSC

Hourly...
Or, if you want, devide all that area with all stores in zones and charge to the middle of each zone..
Or, make two charges: short haul, let say up to 100 miles and long haul ( all above)..
Good luck, eh..

Forget to mention all the loads are FTL from DC.

Thanks Mr Igor
