Seems to be a relatively new carrier. Anyone have comments on service from these folks or the principal Parm Rai?

Does anyone have any recent information on this carrier in regards to service? I have a load pending with them.

Any info would be appreciated.

Parm usually, almost always, does what he says, and if he can't he'll either let you know or own up to it... I'd use them any time.

Just to let you know what happened, I received a call on the Friday evening that the driver was loaded but had the wrong paperwork. He was supposed to be loaded for Edmonton but had Calgary paperwork. I told them to send the driver back inside and to ask if he had the right load and to get the paperwork straightened out. I was told that the driver has already left and was near Seattle already. The driver refused to go back to the shipper. He said if he had to do that, he would drop the trailer there and bobtail home. My rate to Calgary is nowhere near what it should be but I gave Gladiator everything I had in it. He wasn't happy with the rate and I wasn't happy with the way the load was handled. I understand that things happen but the driver should never leave the shipper with the wrong load. I'll give them another shot if they want to do another load for me but I need them to make sure their driver doesn't do the same thing.

It sucks that they hire incompetent people and pass them off as truck drivers.

Their loss.

It's criminal to have incompetent warehouse staff!!!

I get royally pissed when I run accross stuff like this.

Yes, the driver did make a mistake by not taking out his monocle and ascertaining that he was not dealing with a bunch of morons.

How can a shipper load a complete trailer to the wrong destination and not be at fault?????

Was the carrier not given a pick up number? If not , maybe it is time this shipper starts using them!!! They might just avert this same scenario again.

The driver cannot be held responsible for the shippers incompetence!!!

Granted, the driver is no genius, but he did not create the problem, he only aggravated it.

Alx, the driver mumbles to the shipper about a load to "Canada" and that's what he got. I won't disagree that a load number would stop confusion such as this but so would drivers that are either given complete instructions or give the shipper complete instructions.

Ralph the trucker

I am certainly not aware of all the details and I cannot surmise that the driver mumbled anything.

The dispatcher gave his driver instructions to pick up a load for EDMONTON.
The driver most likely asked for a load to EDMONTON. He was most likely not privy to any other information and certainly was not aware that there was a load going to CALGARY that he was to watch out for.

Many shippers will not allow the driver on the dock, will not address him and simply treat them as a lower life form. These are usually the ones that carry out this form of little mistake.

Again, this problem originated with the shipper , was all his doing, and stays with the shipper.

The shipping staff did not seem to think there was aproblem with the paperwork they had the driver sign!!!

I agree, nothing bugs me more than to hear "your driver took the wrong freight"
I guess they figure we just show up and load whatever freight we want. Drivers drive and shippers ship. Sure the driver should double check but maybe he was told he was picking up a load for Alberta.
Amazing how shippers take so little responsibility if there is a problem with anything.
