Freightquote, Kansas City?

Hello. All of a sudden I am getting offered multiple loads from this company. Does anybody know who they are? Are they a broker? I'm a little suspicious of a company that calls me out of the blue with promises of all kinds of outbound loads.

We've done 3 shipments with them. I'd put then in the same category as TQL, CHR, guys like that (lot of young, high energy kids working there that really don't know anything about transportation. More so, telemarketing and sales (makes my skin crawl just typing it). You'll get paid. Maybe not for wait time or anything extra incurred. We found their rates thin... but sometimes ya gotta do what you gotta do to keep the wheels turning.

We used them for a couple of Intra-US loads, even if we know they are double brokering. They have a lot of contacts and great rates. But service is poor. Getting a tracing takes a day! Too much for me, now on DNU list. And the invoices are always wrong so...no time to deal with that!

Thank you both. Not sure if anything will come of it....like Nawk said they seem sort of like smooth talking salespeople. Will update if we do take anything. But thanks for the input. (and whoa about the Facebook page!!! That just made up my mind!)

Well, just to update. We did do a load for Freightquote. Actually, they asked us our rate, which was neither high nor low, and they paid it without any haggling. It actually went off quite smoothly, to our surprise. The only thing I could comment on is that they called to trace the load 2 days after it delivered. Yes, I had sent an email update to the dispatcher that gave us the freight upon delivery. So there might me a breakdown in communication at their outfit, which might explain why Misto had such a hard time tracing freight. That didn't affect us at all, but if you were looking for an update on your freight that would be frustrating! So, long and the short of it...we'll give them a try again if they have something decent to offer.
